Safety Performance Indicators and Measures

Course Objective:

To make participants proficient at identifying/establishing meaningful performance indices to aid in the assessment of Safety and health program effectiveness, and communicating these indices to stakeholders. The course will provide the necessary methodology to implement these indices and apply them in environmental, health and safety audits. Participants will also sharpen auditing skills, including audit planning, data collection, interviewing, analysis, developing findings, conclusions and recommendations. Participants will learn to use performance indices to focus organizational efforts to enhance employee safety/health, environmental protection, process efficiency, and product quality. Attendees will be able to apply effective auditing, interviewing, observation and analysis techniques to occupational safety and health problems.
