We are pleased to offer “Working Safely with Numbers, to clients who are committed to the career development of supervisors and managers.

This topical and interactive course will give delegates the skills to contribute effectively to
health and safety in the workplace and an understanding of their individual responsibilities.

Taking a proactive, risk management approach to health and safety, the course is based on:

• Adding value to an organisation by improving workplace behaviour
  
• Skills-based training with practical exercises
  
• Assessment of skills as well as underpinning knowledge
  
• Best practice rather than legislation
  

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Identify and evaluate hazards in the workplace
  
• Use appropriate workplace control measures and know when to ask for specialist help
  
• Help more experienced Managers with written Risk Assessments
  
• Understand their organisation’s health and safety policy
  
• Co-operate and communicate “the safety message”
  
• Report accidents and contribute to investigations
  Monitor their Department’s health and safety performance
  

Delegates successful in the “end of course” assessment will receive an ISTEC Safety certificate.

Course duration: One day

The training will show the Insurer and the enforcing authorities that an employer is committed to giving staff good quality health and safety training.
