Introduction & Awareness to ISO 14001 Training Course

Organizations are increasing adopting ISO14001:2004 standard as a framework for establishing the Environmental Management System in order to improve their performance and reduce their carbon footprints. As one of the essential requirements of this system, auditors competent in the system should carry out periodic internal audits of the environmental system to ensure it remains suitable and effective to the needs of the organization.
Outcome
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- understand the purpose of an environmental management system and explain the legislative framework relevant to an EMS
- explain the purpose and intent of the ISO 14000 series of standards
- describe the ISO 14001 requirements
Profile
Participants planning to complete other EMS training such as the Advanced EMS Auditor Course or the Internal EMS Auditor Training Course will benefit from the course as it provides a strong knowledge and theory foundation upon which to build auditing skills.
It also works as an introduction for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of an environmental management system.
This course comprises lecture and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of environmental management systems or ISO 14001 before attending the course

Course Certificate: Each participant will be entitled for a training certificate.
Course Schedule and venue: The training runs from 08:30 hrs. To 16:30 hrs with one
Hour lunch/prayers break and two coffee breaks. The venue and the detailed programme will be intimated well in advance of the scheduled dates.
